FAQs FOR ADMISSION
Q1. What are the deadlines for submitting all of my application materials?
If you’re applying as a fresher for early decision admission, the deadline is August 15. Regular decision freshman applicants need to have all application materials to GGI by September 1. Also if you’re applying as a LEET student, the filing period will remain the same as mentioned above.
Q2. Does GGI offer any scholarships?
Financial awards are all based on demonstrated financial need only. GGI offers merit scholarships based upon percentage.
Q3. Are there academic advising and counselling services available to students?
Yes. The Centre for Academic Resources offers academic support services to students from all disciplines as well. Students can also meet with a professional counsellor at the Counselling Centre.
Q4. How available are the professors to the students?
Professors make themselves very available to students, giving out their office hours, email addresses, phone numbers, and sometimes even home or cell phone numbers on the first day of class. They encourage students to drop in during their 2 hours a week of office hours, even just to chat.
Q5. How’s safety on campus?
Safety is very firm on campus with guards at the gate 24*7. After 9p.m. students are required to get into their own residence hall. We also have student security officers patrolling on evenings. Our emergency call boxes, strategically scattered throughout the campus, have a two minute response time.
Q6. What sort of academic support is available to students?
If a student is not satisfied with the support they get from their professors, there are many other options to pursue. The Geeta Group is a great resource for scholastic support. They offer study groups, note taking tips, tutoring services, etc. It also has specialized support for GATE coaching, staffed by professionals.
Q7. How important are extracurricular activities?
As a general rule, the academic record is much more important than extracurricular activities. However, substantial talent and accomplishment in the fine arts, athletics or other areas sought by the college plays a significant role in the development of a student. In general, colleges seek depth of involvement rather than breadth; therefore, we advise students to focus time and attention on a few activities in which they excel.
Q8. Will I have access to computers and the Internet on campus?
The Division of Information Services maintains more than 1,000 computers on campus devoted primarily to student use. Other labs are available for use by engineering, biology, chemistry, mathematics, computer science and physics majors. And all of the campuses of Geeta Group of Institutions have direct access to high-speed Internet in each room.

Q2. What are the various courses available? Also mention the minimum eligibility criteria for the course?

Q3. Is financial assistance available to students?
A) Yes, students may apply for bank loans as this course is a recognized course. Please contact Administrative officer for detailed information.
If you are eligible as per Government scholarship norms, you are also entitled for a Scholarship claim.
Q4. If I am not an Indian resident, how do I apply for an Indian student visa?
A) International students need to apply for a study visa. You can apply for a study visa at your nearest Indian embassy. Before you apply for a permit, you will need:
- A Formal Letter of Acceptance from our college. Students who are qualified to join the course will receive their Formal Letter of Acceptance once they have submitted their program fees in full.
- A valid passport.
- A temporary resident visa (depending on your country of origin).

A) Job opportunities are available in Hotel/Restaurant/Clubs/Cruise Line/Airlines/ Retail /BPO/Call centers/Hospital/Financial Institutions/MNC’s etc.
Q6. Does the Institute offer placement assistance?
A) The Counseling and Placement cell offers a wide variety of career assistance to students. Services include career exposure, resume and interview preparation, and on-campus interviews. The institute organizes on and off campus interviews and 100% assistance in employment is provided after successful completion of the course.
Q7. What is an industrial exposure/internship and where do students complete their internships?
A) Internship is practical work experience where students apply their hospitality service and supervisory skills in restaurants, clubs, hotels, and resorts. The Industrial training is mandatory in the core departments i.e. Food Production, F & B Service, Front Office and Housekeeping.
Students of this college can also opt for abroad internships where they can gain international work exposure and earn good income through stipend

Q9. How and Where do students have their lunch?
A) The college will take care of the Lunch of all Students in the campus Student Dining Hall. Other times of the day meals will be arranged in & by the hostel or by their own expenses.
Q10. Is it compulsory to live at the hostel?
A) No. There are two options. Students who want to live in the hostel have to pay their accommodation and meals cost in advance. Students may also live in independent houses at their own cost.
Q11. What Degree will I receive upon completion of the course?
A) Upon successful completion of the course, the under-graduate students will receive their BHMCT Degree from Kurukshetra University.

Q1. What are the course details of BFSI?
Ans: Type of course
- BFSI stands for Banking, Financial Services and Insurance. It is a Bachelor’s Degree course that focuses Banking, Financial Services and Insurance based on management and administration studies. It is an undergraduate level course.
Duration
- The duration of the course of instruction for award of B.Vocational (Banking Financial Services and Insurance) Degree shall be three academic years, comprising of six semesters. Each academic year shall be divided into two semester i.e. July to December and January to May/June.
Eligibility criteria
- A candidate who has passed 10+2 examination of the Board of School Education, Haryana; or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with English as one of the subjects obtaining at least 40% marks in the aggregate shall be eligible for the course. A candidate who has been placed under compartment or allowed to re-appear in one or more subjects in Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2 Standard) of the Board of School Education, Haryana, or equivalent examination of another University/Board is not eligible for admission in 1st semester
- A candidate who has passed 50 percent courses of B.Vocational (BFSI) Semester I and II or III and IV Examination of this University or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto, shall also be eligible to join III/V Semester of the B.Vocational (BFSI) course, as the case may be.
Admission process
- Merit based admission process is followed . Under this setup, marks scored by students in board exam and/or relevant entrance test are taken into consideration. Seats are allotted to deserving candidates on the basis of merit marks obtained by them.
Training Procedure
- The Training at BFSI will be initiated after the end of examinations of second and fourth Semesters of the course. The subject of the Training Report shall be certified by the training supervisor provided by the concerned business/ commercial enterprise and countersigned by HOD/Principal of the college concerned

Q1. What are the course details of BBA?

BBA stands for Bachelor of Business Administration. It is an undergraduate level Bachelor’s Degree course. It is a general management course (exceptions exist).
Duration
3 years. The program consists of 3 academic years. Each academic year is divided into 2 semesters. Each semester lasts for a period of 6 months.
Eligibility criteria
